RV6 Performance J Pipe - 2003-2007 Honda Accord V6 / 2004-2008 Acura TL

Want to fix a real bottleneck on your J series Accord or TL? The RV6 J pipe is what you need. The factory exhaust on these cars just ties both banks together without caring about pulse length or scavenging, which leaves power on the table and makes the power curve feel peaky. This J pipe uses full length runners with a gradual merge to help exhaust scavenging, so you get a cleaner pull across the rev range instead of just a peak number. It bolts in like the factory piece without cutting or welding anything, and it keeps the stock hanger location so it works with your factory exhaust or any aftermarket cat-back.

Full Length Runners with Gradual Merge

RV6 designed this J pipe with full length 2.25 inch primaries that merge gradually into a 2.5 inch outlet. The runner lengths are equalized so both banks are contributing evenly, which helps with exhaust scavenging and gives you a more consistent pull through the rev range. The factory setup doesn't care about any of that. It just dumps both banks together as quickly as possible to keep manufacturing simple.

Maximum Ground Clearance

RV6 tucked one tube behind the other to maximize runner length without killing ground clearance. They went through over 10 revisions on the prototype to get the routing right. You're not scraping this thing on driveways or speed bumps if the car's at stock ride height.

End to End 304 Stainless Construction

The entire J pipe is built from 304 stainless steel, including the tubing, flanges, flex pipes, and hanger. RV6 fully TIG welds it and back purges every weld with argon so the inside doesn't look like a rusty mess. The triple-lined interlock flex sections help take stress out of the system as things expand and move, which prevents exhaust leaks and rattles over time. This isn't a cheap exhaust part that's going to fall apart in two years.

Dyno Proven Gains

RV6 tested this J pipe on an unmodified 2005 automatic base TL with 55k miles on a Mustang AWD dyno. They picked that car because it's the most common setup in the community. Results were 13 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Manual transmission cars and TL Type-S models typically see higher gains.
