Hybrid Racing Shift Rod Bushings - Honda B Series Transmissions

Want to tighten up your shifter on your B series Civic or Integra? The Hybrid Racing solid shift rod bushings replace the factory rubber bushings in your shift linkage with CNC machined 6061 aluminum. The factory rubber bushings allow the shift rod to flex and deflect when you're shifting, which makes the shifter feel vague and sloppy. Solid bushings eliminate that flex so your shifts feel more direct and precise. These fit 1988-2000 Honda Civic, 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol, 1988-1991 Honda CRX, and 1990-2001 Acura Integra with B series transmissions, and they work with OEM shift linkage or aftermarket linkage from Innovative or Hasport.

Why Solid Bushings

The factory shift linkage uses rubber bushings where the shift rod connects to the transmission. Rubber bushings are designed to absorb vibration and reduce noise, but they also flex when you're shifting. That flex makes the shifter feel imprecise because the input at the shift knob doesn't translate directly to movement at the transmission. Solid aluminum bushings don't flex, so your shifts feel more direct and the throw feels shorter because you're not compressing rubber bushings on every shift.

Increased Vibration and Noise

Solid bushings transmit more vibration and noise into the cabin than rubber bushings do. That's the tradeoff for eliminating flex. If you're building a track car or you don't care about NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), solid bushings are worth it for the shift feel improvement. If you're daily driving the car and want it to stay quiet, solid bushings might be too much. Hybrid Racing recommends pairing these with stiff or solid engine mounts to keep the drivetrain aligned properly. If you're running soft engine mounts with solid shift bushings, the engine can move around and bind the shift linkage.

CNC Machined 6061 Aluminum

The bushings are CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum and finished with a three-stage process for corrosion resistance. Each bushing is laser-etched with the Hybrid Racing logo. The kit includes front and rear bushings and all the hardware you need for installation.
