Haltech iC-7 Digital Dash - Universal / OBD-II
Tired of staring at a cluster full of old analog gauges that don't tell you what you actually need to know? The Haltech iC-7 is a 7-inch full-color digital dash that replaces your factory gauge cluster or mounts on top of your dash as an aux display. It comes in two versions: Universal (plugs into standalone ECUs via CAN) and OBD-II (plugs straight into your factory ECU through the OBD-II port). Same dash, same features, just different ways to connect depending on what ECU you're running.
Which Version Do You Need?
If you're running a standalone ECU like Haltech, Link, MoTeC, or anything else with CAN output, get the Universal version. It connects to your ECU via CAN and pulls all your engine data directly from the ECU. If you're running your factory ECU and you just want a digital dash to display boost, AFR, oil pressure, and whatever else you're monitoring, get the OBD-II version. It plugs straight into your OBD-II port and works with most 2008+ cars. Don't overthink it. Standalone ECU? Universal. Factory ECU? OBD-II.
Build Your Own Screen Layouts
The iC-7's got a 7-inch full-color display with auto-dimming that adjusts to ambient light so you're not getting blinded at night or squinting in the sun. You can configure the display to show whatever you want: boost, AFR, oil pressure, coolant temp, knock, gear position, whatever matters to you. It comes with some pre-made layouts, but you can build custom screens in the Haltech software and load them via USB. Want boost and AFR front and center with everything else small in the corners? Done. Want a simple tach and speed layout? Also done. It's your dash, set it up however you want.
Shift Light Bar That Actually Works
There are 14 programmable LEDs across the top of the dash that work as a shift light bar. You can set them to change colors at different RPM ranges or use them as warning lights for low oil pressure, high coolant temp, overboost, whatever. The LEDs are seven-color, so you can make them light up however you want. They're bright enough to see in direct sunlight and they're way more useful than a single shift light bolted to your A-pillar.
On-Board Datalogging Without a Laptop
The iC-7's got 512MB of on-board datalogging memory, which means you can log engine data directly to the dash without dragging a laptop to the car. Do your pulls, pull the logs off via USB later, and review them in the Haltech software. If you're tracking the car or street testing and you don't want to fumble with a laptop, this is huge.
Wire In Your Own Sensors
The dash's got 9 analog voltage inputs, 3 digital pulsed inputs, 1 tach input, and 4 digital pulsed outputs. That means you can wire in your own sensors for wideband O2, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, trans temp, whatever you're running. The digital outputs can control shift lights, warning lights, or other accessories based on RPM, boost, temp, or any parameter you set. You're not limited to what the ECU can display. You can add your own stuff.
