SpeedFactory Street Series B-Series Aluminum Fill Pot
This SpeedFactory Street Series Fill Pot is a smart B Series cooling upgrade if you’re tired of fighting air pockets and sketchy temps. It gives your Honda B-Series cooling system a proper high point to fill and bleed from, so you can actually get all the air out instead of hoping the radiator cap “figures it out.” It works on Honda B16A, Honda B18C1, Honda B18C5, and GSR engines whether you’re on a custom radiator or a Honda tucked radiator setup like the SpeedFactory Racing Tucked Radiator.
Compared to the Race Series, this SpeedFactory B Series Fill Pot keeps your life easier: it clears the factory distributor and VTEC solenoid, so it fits real street and mixed-use cars, not just bare-bones track builds. By raising the fill point, this aluminum fill pot B Series setup makes bleeding and refilling simple, and it bumps coolant capacity by about 0.75 quarts. That extra volume helps stabilize temps and slows down heat soak during long pulls or track sessions. Every SpeedFactory Billet Fill Pot ships with a raw SpeedFactory Titanium Delete Fill Pot plug for the oil pressure switch, so the install looks clean and does what it’s supposed to do.
Each SpeedFactory B Series Fill Pot includes a SpeedFactory Racing High Performance Type A 18.8 PSI high PSI radiator cap fill pot combo. That higher pressure cap pushes the boiling point up, which means your coolant stays a liquid when things get hot instead of steaming out and spiking temps. You get a more stable Honda B16A fill pot / Honda B18C1 fill pot / Honda B18C5 fill pot setup that actually survives hard use. This CNC machined fill pot Honda part uses quality aluminum, tight machining, and a black anodized finish so it doesn’t corrode or turn ugly a few months in. We run these exact parts on our own B cars.
Key Features:
- Direct fit for Honda B16A, Honda B18C1 (GSR engine fill pot), and Honda B18C5 applications
- Clears and works with the factory distributor and VTEC solenoid – no weird hacking to make it fit
- Raises the B Series radiator fill pot location to the true high point for easier, repeatable bleeding
- Adds roughly 0.75 quarts of coolant capacity for better thermal stability and heat management
- Includes SpeedFactory Titanium Oil Pressure Switch Delete (raw finish) for a clean VTEC area
- Comes with SpeedFactory Racing Type A 18.8 PSI radiator cap for a higher boiling point and better high-load cooling
- SpeedFactory billet fill pot body: CNC-machined aluminum with a durable black anodized coating
- Helps keep temps stable and improves cooling reliability when you’re leaning on the car hard
Installation Tip:
To run this SpeedFactory VTEC solenoid fill pot correctly, you must remove the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch and replace it with the included titanium plug. Reuse your factory O-ring so it seals properly. If you’re on a USDM ECU that doesn’t use a separate VTEC Oil Pressure Switch input, you can bridge the signal by tying the pressure switch wire (ECU Pin D6) into the VTEC solenoid wire (ECU Pin A4). That keeps VTEC happy without cutting or disabling the solenoid circuit.
If you’re building a Honda tucked radiator fill pot setup or just want easier maintenance and more consistent temps on your B, this SpeedFactory B Series Cooling Fill Pot is one of those simple parts that quietly fixes a lot of small headaches.
